Site Preparation:
Our preliminary steps include conducting a comprehensive site survey and risk assessment to acquaint ourselves with the site’s geography. We ensure there is sufficient satellite coverage for the seamless operation of our drones’ GPS systems. To maintain safety, particularly if your site welcomes visitors, we designate and secure an area specifically for drone takeoff and landing. Additionally, we display clear signage to inform and caution about the drone operations in progress.
Landowner Consent:
Securing the landowner’s consent is paramount before any flight operation. If you are not the landowner, it is imperative to establish communication and obtain permission before we commence our services.
Proximity to Airfields:
Operating near airfields or airstrips involves specific restrictions, especially within two and a half nautical miles of an aerodrome, and may require additional permissions. While we maintain a comprehensive record of listed airfields, expediting the process is possible by informing us of any nearby airfields when discussing your project needs.
Weather Considerations:
Although we strive to conduct flights at your convenience, the unpredictable nature of outdoor conditions means there may be instances where flying is neither safe nor feasible. In such scenarios, we will coordinate with you to reschedule the operation.
Community and Safety:
In ensuring safe operations, we take into account the presence of other individuals near the work area. For flights in densely populated regions, proactive measures such as distributing leaflets to nearby residents might be advisable to clarify and reassure about the flight’s purpose. We typically employ barriers to deter individuals from entering the flight path and remain committed to keeping local residents informed about our activities.
